A striking brooch in the shape of a sunflower, made in the 1950’s in Vienna, Austria. The naturalistic type of floral jewellery in different gemstones was an Austrian and German speciality, very much in demand in the 1950’s and 60’s. The lapidarist or gemcutter sculpted for this brooch a bright sunflower from matte dyed chalcedony. Instant happiness!
